About Yamato Kendokai
２０２６年春、オーストリアの首都ウィーンに３０年ぶりの新しい剣道場が誕生しました。「大和剣道会」は、日本の礼節を大切にし、剣の理法の修練を通じて心身を鍛え、自己を磨くことを目指しています。
初心者から上級者まで、子どもから高齢の方まで、国籍や年齢を問わず、剣道に興味をお持ちのすべての方を歓迎します。
私たちの道場は日々の修錬を通じて自らを振り返り、互いに学び合い、すべてのメンバーにとって居心地の良い道場を目指しています。さらに、国内外の他の道場への出稽古や、国際的な剣道大会・講習会への積極的な参加を通じて、”交剣知愛”の精神を大切に育んでいきます。
In spring 2026, a new Kendo dojo was born in Vienna, the capital of Austria - the first new dojo in 30 years.
"Yamato Kendokai" values the etiquette and spirit of traditional Japanese Kendo. Through dedicated training in the principles of the sword, we aim to cultivate both body and mind while continuously refining ourselves.
We warmly welcome everyone - from complete beginners to advanced practitioners, children to seniors, and people of all nationalities and ages - who have an interest in Japanese Kendo.
Through daily practice, we strive to create a comfortable dojo where all members can reflect on themselves, learn from one another, and feel truly at home. We also actively engage with other dojos in Austria and abroad, participating in international Kendo tournaments and seminars to nurture the spirit of "Koken-Chiai".
