Last week, the 34th European Kendo Championships were held in Montenegro!
Half of the Austrian team came from Vienna, and everyone fought really hard.
Among them, Murakami from Graz delivered an amazing performance - she won the Women’s Individual for the first time! After finishing 3rd last year, this victory feels extra special. We could really see her concentration and focus getting stronger with every match. It was so impressive!
I’m truly grateful to Coach Murakami, who has been passionately guiding the younger generation for many years. His hard work has clearly paid off. We’ll keep training hard and actively build stronger ties with our Kendo friends in Graz.
Together, let’s keep growing Kendo across all of Austria!
