7th Wakaba cup in Austria

5月末、オーストリアのFürstenfeldで若葉カップが開催されました。

大和剣道会からは2名が参加し、以下の好成績を収めました。

Artem Prykhodko: 個人戦基本Dの部 3位入賞

Mariia Shumilova: 団体戦Mixチーム先鋒 優勝

まじめに稽古に取り組めば、しっかりと結果がついてくることを改めて実感した大会となりました。また、村上先生のセミナーで剣道の「攻め」について学び、新しい知識を学びながら稽古に励んでいました。稽古後、他の道場や他国の参加者とも交流し、同年代の剣士たちと楽しい時間を過ごしている様子が見られました。このような横のつながりが生まれることも若葉カップの大きな趣旨のひとつです。

特に初心者には、これからも積極的に参加を勧めたいと思える有意義な週末でした。

Artem Prykhodko: 3rd Place in Kihon-D

Mariia Shumilova: Contributed to Team match (1st Place) as Sempo

We were reminded once again that consistent, hard training brings solid results. After the tournament, they participated in a seminar by Murakami sensei on “Seme” and trained with renewed knowledge. After practice, the participants happily joined circles with friends from other dojos and countries, enjoying time with peers their age. Creating these horizontal connections is one of the main purposes of the Wakaba Cup.

It was a wonderful weekend that strongly encouraged us to keep inviting beginners to join in the future.
